Winners listed below. As always, it's difficult to judge this show as everyone pulls out their best work, and it always comes down to little nitpicks. Usually while we throw popcorn at one another and roll around arguing about it. Stay tuned for the Halloween events and new things coming your way!

We're baaaaack! Another placing may be added if we have a large amount of entries again, but other than that, you know the drill!

General Show Rules:

The Goal:

Somewhere out there in the wilds is a dragon. And you know dragons. They tend to like treasure. Lots and lots of treasure. All you need to do is retrieve one piece. That's all. Just one. Simple, right? Oh, yes. And don't die!
Accidents happen. Watch your back. And your front. 

Lairs may be underwater, hidden deep beneath the earth, or high up in the mountains. Be prepared!

The Weather:

Summer has begun to die, but it's clinging with heat-drenched fingers. The day is a scorcher, and leaves hold stubbornly to the trees. Scouts report clouds beyond the mountains, but all they'll bring is rain, and potentially deadly lightning. Keep a close eye on the sky and your mounts; this might turn ugly in a hurry.

No late entries will be accepted. No extensions!

★ Your image must contain a Nordanner and a dragon. Riders optional. (Some horses just have minds of their own!) Dragon tack is a necessity for this hunt; otherwise you risk serious injury. You may enter a team of Nordanners but they must all be drawn in the same image. (Please note: Not drawing riders can put you at a disadvantage compared to those who did.)

★ One image per person. If you do multiple entries anyway we will choose the one we feel is the best and judge that one only. Collabs are allowed but you must decide how to split the prizes between you if you are the winner.

★ This show will be judged on effort. Whining, bitching, throwing things/snowcones/popsicles/small children and generally making the winners feel bad will not be tolerated. You will get an official group warning for exhibiting these behaviors. Nobody likes a sore loser and it can't feel all that great being one, either. Judging on effort, against your gallery, is a time-consuming process that sometimes comes down to tiny nit-picks between entries. If you don't place, it just means we think you have even more potential. Chin up, and if you must complain, please do it privately where the winner cannot see you. 

★ One image must depict the hunt and/or battle itself. This will be the main show entry and what we will be judging. However, you may enter a second, optional image of you and your horse (or just your horse!) retrieving your token from the dragon’s lair. What that object is, is up to you!
- These extra images will be RNG’d together for a mini prize. Prizes could include: 800 points, 1 breeding spot to your mutation horse, 15 kaaring to horse of choice (OR STP!), or RNG breeding trait (no mimicry or twins).
- Please note: This will be RNG with effort taken into account. If I roll the names and yours is the winner, but you did an uncolored pencil sketch on lined paper while running through sprinklers and chowing down on a pile of watermelon at the same time, I’ll roll again in favor of the nicely colored pieces.
- Prizes will be randomized as well, so you never know what you might get! 

★ We will also be looking at stories, though they won’t be the deciding factor/have as much weight as your image as we know not everyone loves storytelling. However they might tip the scales for you, so if you’ve got a great idea, be sure to include it!

★ While it’s great to go out of the box with your entry, be careful when doing something more artisan-craftsy as it makes it very hard to judge against other entries.

★ Tracing allowed, though not encouraged. Must use actual stock photos, no Google-sourced images. Failure to credit stock providers will get your entry disqualified. Remember to check stock rules; some providers don’t allow their stock used for Nordanners.

★ Potions are allowed and encouraged! Note that you must have your kaaring status confirmed to use the unlockable potions. Your entry will be disqualified if you use potions without unlocking them.

★ Leasing group horses is permitted! However, no more than 4 people can lease the same horse and you can’t lease more than one (see the “one image only” rule). Comment on that horse’s import image with “GO AWAY SUMMER” or just “Leasing for Nordanner Dragon Hunt.” First come first serve, but do NOT reserve a horse if you don’t intend to draw them or risk being eaten by dragons. It's rude.

★ Images must created for THIS event. Reusing or re-purposing old artwork will get you disqualified.

While not a deal-breaker if you choose to go with your own dragon design, please note that these designs are officially recognized by the group and therefore officially exist in the Alerian world.
